Module summary

The Final Independent Project module allows you to develop a major piece of creative practice in response to a specific critical theme. Your creative practice may involve stills (e.g. a photographic series or photobook), moving image (e.g. a fiction film, documentary or video essay) or a convergent digital text (e.g. a hybrid piece that combines motion and stills). In addition, you will research, plan, and write a 6000-word critical essay in which you will reflect on the project that you have developed.

- Engage in creative practice that reflects an awareness of the distinctions and synergies between film and photography in conveying ideas and concepts.
- Work with an awareness of relevant ethical considerations, self-direction and reflexivity.
- Manage their time effectively and respond to strict professional deadlines.
